Position Overview

Client is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Risk & Controls team. This role focuses on financial services auditing, risk assessment, and control testing. The ideal candidate brings strong auditing experience within the financial industry and can work independently while collaborating with stakeholders across compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits focused on risk, compliance, and financial controls.
• Perform detailed control testing and document findings.
• Assess operational effectiveness of risk management practices.
• Prepare clear audit reports and present results to senior leadership.
• Support compliance with financial regulations including AML and BSA requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen internal control frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in auditing, compliance, or risk within the financial services industry.
• Certifications (preferred): CPA, CIA, CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), AML, or BSA.
  • Candidates with strong experience but no certification will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Jacksonville or Charlotte; remote considered for exceptional candidates.
